چکیده
Abstract We prove a product formula for the determinant of cohomology an étale sheaf with $\ell $ -adic coefficients over arbitrary proper scheme perfect field positive characteristic p distinct from . The local contributions are constructed by iterating vanishing cycle functors as well certain exact additive that can be considered linearised versions Artin conductors and $\varepsilon -factors. provide several applications our higher dimensional formula, such twist formulas global

A local smoothing estimate in higher dimensions
Let N be a large parameter, C a constant, and let ΓN (C) denote the C-neighborhood of the cone segment {ξ : 2−CN ≤ |ξ| ≤ 2N}. For fixed N , we take a partition of unity subordinate to a covering of Sd−1 by caps Θ of diameter about N− 1 2 , and use this to form a (smooth) partition of unity yΘ on ΓN(C) in the natural way. We will write ΓN,Θ(C) = supp yΘ. Let ΞΘ be a function whose Fourier transf...
متن کاملGeometric Construction of the Quantum Hall Effect in Higher Dimensions
A clean geometric construction is presented for the recent generalization of the Quantum Hall Effect to higher dimensional spaces. A very explicit formula is derived for the Hamiltonian in the generalized Quantum Hall Effect. This explicit formula suggests that the quantum Hall effect in even dimensions larger than two turns out to be simply copies of the two-dimensional effect.
متن کاملHow to generalize geometric ICA to higher dimensions
Geometric algorithms for linear independent component analysis (ICA) have recently received some attention due to their pictorial description and their relative ease of implementation. The geometric approach to ICA has been proposed first by Puntonet and Prieto [6] in order to separate linear mixtures. One major drawback of geometric algorithms is, however, an exponentially rising number of sam...
متن کاملGenerating Surface Geometry in Higher Dimensions using Local Cell Tilers
In two dimensions contour elements surround two dimensional objects, in three dimensions surfaces surround three dimensional objects and in four dimensions hypersurfaces surround hyperobjects. These surfaces can be represented by a collection of connected simplices, hence, continuous n dimensional surfaces can be represented by a lattice of connected n 1 dimensional simplices. The lattice of co...
متن کاملMultiple Response Optimization for Higher Dimensions in Factors and Responses
When optimizing a product or process with multiple responses, a two-stage Pareto front approach is a useful strategy to evaluate and balance trade-offs between different estimated responses to seek optimum input locations for achieving the best outcomes. After objectively eliminating non-contenders in the first stage by looking for a Pareto front of superior solutions, graphical tools can be us...
